Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear, or a fool from any direction.

A PET'S TEN COMMANDMENTS.........

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.
4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.
5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.
7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.
8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.
9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.
10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.

~Take a moment today to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them.
Life would be a much duller, less joyful experience without God's critters.
~Now please pass this on to other pet owners. We do not have to wait for Heaven, to be surrounded by hope,
love, and joyfulness.

Every situation is different.  Let a Squad member take charge of your pets while you're away.  We have a 25 point checklist for your peace of mind. We do all of the things you do automatically each day.

If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you; that is the principal difference between a dog and a man.

The Guatemalan Student Support Group
Please give to the GSSG today.  They really, really need your help to subsidize a child, or hopefully, several children.  This is one of the most important foundations on the planet.

The Guatemalan Student Support Group would like to put Georgia on the map as a town that made a huge difference for an amazing culture who live just a 3 hour plane ride and 4 hour bus ride away.  The poverty ranks with the poorest of the poor IN THE WORLD.  Guatemala is rich with culture and religion, but can't compete because of it's location.  Wars, government and lack of education have left them behind.  It's urgent that we help them.  Why do you think they leave their families and risk death by running through the desert for minimum wage?  There is no work in the mountains of Guatemala.  They don't have refrigerators or washers or money for doctors and food.  There are children who are hungry right now.  $2500 sponsors a child for one school year.  They get medical insurance, tuition, travel and clothing with this money.  We get to have them live with us and get treated to what we have to offer on a daily basis.  They return home for the summers.  A child can be sponsored through a 4 year degree!  They must return to Guatemala once they graduate.  Even one year here at school will make a difference to these beautiful children.  Please, just give a little, every little bit helps this wonderful foundation based in North Carolina.  They deserve a standing ovation for the theory on how to help these impoverished children.

They do not even have the money to spay or neuter their animals!

Families in Georgia are needed to host Guatemalan exchange students during the school year.  Freshman in high school and up.  If you have a nice home and a desire to make a difference, please consider sponsoring a child.  Email gssg.usa@gmail.com.
